Volunteer Macroinvertebrate Sorting and Identification

We’ll be holding volunteer sorting and identification sessions following the collection season. At these sessions volunteers sort through preserved specimens, sorting them into groups to help with identification by our expert volunteers. We will also have microscopes for any folks interested in diving deeper into the identification process or who might just want to see the creatures under magnification. We will provide support, equipment, and some snacks. We’ll have two different sorting times at the Vaughn Public Library in Ashland in the third floor meeting room.
